Errobi - Ametsaren Bidea

Comments:
Ametsaren Bidea is a brilliant album, from the Basque area of Spain, consisting of 4 tracks ranging from 3-minutes to 18-minutes in length. Although all of the tracks are excellent, in my opinion the best composition here is "Andere". This 13-minute epic has a Soft Machine feel to it, and features melodic sax soloing along with jazzy unison riffs between sax and bass. The track also features a unique ethnic drum solo/percussion section(don't worry this is short in length) that would even impress those, like me, that hate drum solos. If you are interested in checking out the Basque progressive rock scene this is an excellent album to start your collection with.

Compositions: 9/10
Vocals(in Basque): 9/10
Recording Quality: 9/10

Itoiz - Ezekiel

Comments:
Another symphonic gem from the Basque region. The music here is quite beautiful(very Italian, in fact) and emphasizes melodic interplay between Acoustic guitars, Hackett-ish electric guitar, flutes, and saxes. Most of the tracks have male vocals, while the best tracks have some very beautiful female vocals.

Compositions: 9/10
Vocals(in Basque): 9/10
Recording Quality: 9/10
